Mother’s Day

Meri माँ
The relationship that we cherish the most in the mortal life and which effortlessly scores above all other known relationships on this Earth is the mother child relationship. To celebrate the eternal bond of love and affection, the young ones of Gurugram Global Heights School hosted Mother’s Day special assembly on 6th May, 2022 at the Seminar Hall.
A host of performances were staged which included poem recitation, dance and speech. Video presentation was the star entertainer for the day featuring students and their adorable moms on screen.
All performances exalted the mother as God, teacher, friend, philosopher and guide and also emphasised the fact that mother’s love is irreplaceable.
Vice Principal Ms. Ritu Seth dedicated her poem recitation to all the mothers of the world and reiterated in her interactive session with the students that
Mother’s love has to be reciprocated not in a day or two but throughout life.
The excitement was in brim when the students made beautiful Mother’s Day card to surprise their super moms on Sunday, 8th May.

'Soil is the heart and soul of our planet.'

In words of Lady Eve Balfour, founder of the Soil Association, ‘The health of soil, plant, animal and man is one and indivisible .’
Keeping this view in mind, The Save our Soil’ campaign, initiated by Isha foundation, was commenced in our school on 2nd May, 2022 by the renowned educator and social reformer, Ms. Paramjeet Kaur Narang, from Isha Foundation, graced the stage to make the students of Gurugram Global Heights School realise that soil not only sustains us, but also captures carbon, provides a home for billions of organisms, and help defend us against flooding and drought.
Ms. Narang, through video presentations and interactive session insisted the fact that it is time that we need to change the way we farm, eat and think to protect our soils for our future generations.
Tapping their feet with an inspiring song , students vowed to fight against the crisis – soul of the planet is facing.
The enthused young soildiers wrote letters to the Prime minister, Mr Narendra Modi, stating the importance of conservation of soil for our health, food, security and the climate.

International Labour Day

“No work is insignificant. All Labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.”

Saluting the creators of every nation, students of Gurugram Global Heights School organised a special assembly to commemorate the International Labour Day in the seminar hall. The school choir group performed mellifluous songs to convey their respect to the didis and bhaiyas. Our Vice-principal, Ms Ritu Seth, acknowledged the entire support staff team with tokens of appreciation and words of gratitude through a video presentation and a personalised greeting card. She admired their role in maintaining the smooth functioning of the school without any glitches and hazards.

The bright and cheerful faces of our support staff team reflected the pride that they feel in being an integral part of Team GGHS.

"Orange Day Celebrations"

ORANGE 2022 Events, the color of shine, vibrance, beauty, and energy, is associated with excitement & cheerfulness in life. The students of Base Group KG celebrated this ecstatic colour through a series of class activities. The presentation was done by the tiny tots on orange colour with props.
Orange 2022 Events activity and balloons were given as takeaways. Students came dressed up in beautiful orange attires and the teachers discussed with them the importance of this colour.

‘Red Colour Day’

Colours symbolize enthusiasm, life and vitality that illuminate the air with energy, vigour and exuberance.
Gurugram Global Heights School, Sector 102 conducted ‘Red color Day’ activity on Friday, April 29,2022 ; to introduce children with the mesmerizing realm of colours. The tiny tots looked stunning in their red outfits. A feast of activities related to Red colour was conducted and the tiny tots enjoyed cotton dabbing in strawberry, spoke a few lines on red coloured object. It was a wonderful learning activity which helped children to sort and classify objects based on colours thereby reinforcing cognitive skills.
It was a scintillating day with innocent faces gleaming and reflecting brightness, joy, love and happiness.

World Earth Day

World Earth Day was celebrated today with lots of enthusiasm at a special assembly in Gurugram Global Heights School to commemorate our beloved Mother Earth.
The assembly commenced with prayer and an interactive session by Vice Principal Ms. Ritu Seth depicting the importance of Earth Day, ways to preserve and conserve our self-sustaining planet.
News and thought of the day were followed by a soulful dance drama ‘Save Environment’ dedicated to our blue planet.
The poem recitation and thank you note instigated the youngsters to love and respect our Mother Earth.
An array of creative activities like Poster making, slogan writing and take away crafts by our tiny tots were also organized to sensitize them about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to contribute their bit towards a greener and cleaner Earth.

Rocket Launching Programme

“Man must rise above the Earth—to the top of the atmosphere and beyond—for only thus will he fully understand the world in which he lives.”

Following this famous saying by Socrates, Gurugram Global Heights School in collaboration with Space India organised an experiential learning workshop for its students where they witnessed the ‘Rocket Launching Programme’. Basking in the morning sun, the students with lots of excitement viewed this extraordinary event. It surpassed their imagination when they saw rockets of various sizes were then launched by the Vice Principal, different teachers and students with the help of the members of Space India.

The students also observed how a real telescope looks. Small solar viewers were given to each and every student to see the Sun and experience its beauty.

The program continued in the seminar hall where various facts about astronomy and space were discussed through an interesting PPT and activities like Comet-making.

Overall, it was truly an enriching experience for our students.

Assembly on World Health Day

Grade 10 students of Gurugram Global Heights School celebrated World Health Day in their morning assembly on 12th April, 2022 instead of 7th April. Students presented the importance of having Balanced Diet over lucrative junk food. They also exhibited few yogasanas stating their benefits followed by an interactive session of students with Vice Principal Ms. Ritu Seth. Brimmed with morning energy, the students voiced out their daily physical activity schedule and also vowed to reduce junk food and consciously switch over to healthy food.

Assembly

Students of grade 5 from Gurugram Global Heights School presented a unique assembly on the noble thought that one can always look for good in others. Rather than criticising others, it is good to speak words of kindness with others. With the new academic year, taking progress towards its bloom, the vibrating students with full enthusiasm glorified the thought of the day on the stage

Back to School

As the school bell rang loud on 4th April, 2022 at 8 am, the beautiful Gurugram Global Heights School campus reverberated with the chirping of the students in every nook and corner of the school. The teacher and the management heartily welcomed the children as they started exploring their new classrooms and mingling with their new buddies. Rather than beginning with the curriculum of the year, the teachers and students got acquainted with each other and conducted exciting ice breaking activities. Some of the activities conducted by the teachers were taking hand impressions from the toddlers, Desert island activity, Mathambola, Word binder, Dumb charade on phrases, recitation of poems in open play area, Guessing game on different historic characters, Travel brochure, Find your way to home, Being a Radio Jockey, Rescue game and so on.
With snivels and giggles, the four walls of the school building got back its life with the students’ footfall on the very first day of the Academic session 2022 – 23.

Orientation Programme

Gurugram Global Heights School organized Orientation programme on 26th March,2022 for Grade Nursery to VIII for the parents to familiarize them, “as partners in progress” with the rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities.
The orientation began with welcoming of guests of Honour Vice Chairman, Mr. Harsh Tandon, Vice chairman Mr. Satish Raghav , Vice chairperson Ms Yojna Raghav and Dr. D K Pandey member of advisory management ,followed by lamp lighting and saraswati vandana .
The girls of Grade 10 mesmerised the audience with their enchanting performance which encouraged a prolonged appreciation .
Welcoming parents to the new academic session, Vice Principal Ms.Ritu Seth spoke at length about Integrated learning. The scholastic and co scholastic activities were discussed that gave parents an idea of the curriculum which is self directed with hands on learning activities that not only give our students, medium to fully utilize their creative talents and energies but helps in their overall development.
Vice Chairman, Mr Harsh Tandon shared the news of approval of CBSE affiliation for GGHS at a record time period.
Dr.D K Pandey ,member of advisory management, shared his thoughts on 21st century life skills and values. He also emphasised the role of GGHS in imbibing NEP 2020 in our pedagogical and co scholastic curriculum.
The Orientation elucidated the role of GGHS in transforming the youngsters into achievers in various skills.

Grade IX and X – March 2022
On 21st March, 2022, Orientation programme was arranged for the parents and students of Grade IX and X at our Gurugram Global Heights School campus.
The Orientation program encapsulated welcome notes from Vice Principal, Ms. Ritu Seth and Member of the Advisory Board, Dr D K Pandey. Power point presentations by Vice Principal and the respective subject teachers enlightened the parents about the vision of the school, nuances of CBSE curriculum and approach methodologies.
It emphasized the provision of an optimal atmosphere and giving individual attention to each child ensuring growth and progress to the best of his/her potential. The quiz on varied life skill ideas conducted by Dr Pandey enhanced the interpersonal as well as intra personal skills of both parents and teachers present there.
The Orientation elucidated the role of GGHS in transforming the youngsters into an accomplished future ready citizens.

National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February all over the country to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman .
Our students at Gurugram Global Heights School Celebrated National Science Day to spread a message about the importance of science in our day to day life.

'अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मातृभाषा दिवस'

21 फरवरी को पूरे विश्व में ‘अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मातृभाषा दिवस’ के रूप में मनाया जाता है । यह दिवस विश्व में सांस्कृतिक विविधता और बहुभाषिता को बढ़ावा मिलने के साथ – साथ , मातृभाषाओं से जुड़ी जागरुकता फैलाने के उद्देश्य से मनाया जाता है। । इस अवसर पर गुरुग्राम ग्लोबल हाइट्स स्कूल द्वारा विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन करते हुए छात्रों को इस दिवस की महत्ता से अवगत करवाया गया तथा विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया | जिसमें पाँचवीं कक्षा के छात्रों ने कविता गायन, छठी कक्षा के छात्रों ने पोस्टर बनाने व सातवीं कक्षा के छात्रों ने वाद विवाद प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया।

“Tricolour is above everything”
The patriotic fever is going on in fill swing among the students of GGHS and they created such beautiful tricolor art pieces to celebrate the 73rd Republic Day of our Motherland. The activities not only promoted the love of these kids towards the nation but also helped in the development of creative skills.
