Work Shop CARE & CONNECT: CACA WORKSHOP On 24th May and 27th June, GGHS hosted a workshop by Children Against Child Abuse (CACA) for parents and teachers. The session focused on understanding child abuse. The workshop featured discussions on understanding child abuse, strategies for creating safe environments, and educating children about their rights. The parents praised the workshop for its clarity and depth. GGHS remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students. THEATRE WORKSHOP: LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! A workshop on enhancing theatre skills was organized at Gurugram Global Heights School on 11th July to explore the exciting world of theatre. The workshop aimed to develop students’ confidence, creativity, and communication skills through engaging activities and exercises. The workshop started with fun and interactive warm-up activities designed to break the ice, encourage teamwork, and foster a sense of playfulness. Students delved into the fundamentals of acting, exploring techniques for vocal projection, body language, and stage presence. WORKSHOP ON OPTICS INNOVATION BY BVNIAPT ANVESHIKA On the bright morning of 19th July 2024, a group of enthusiastic Grade X students—Mayank, Teileen, and Vanya—along with their Physics teacher, Mr. Abhijeet Rawat, from Gurugram Global Heights School, had the privilege of attending an innovative and interactive workshop at Birla Vidya Niketan. This workshop, organized by BVNIAPT Anveshika, aimed to immerse students in the fascinating world of optics through engaging activities and demonstrations. Ms. Pragya Nopany, a distinguished educator and optics expert, led the workshop. She introduced the fundamental concepts of optics, including the behavior of light, reflection, refraction, and the formation of images. The session was designed to be highly interactive, with students participating in hands-on activities and experiments. We are all crew .” Students of Gurugram Global Heights School visited the TERI GRAM RETREATon 26th August 2024 and witnessed the technology that can be used torevolutionize the climate crisis and environmental issues threatening the wholeworld. The research institute is actively involved in global environmental issues likeintelligent use of natural resources, climate change, air pollution and globalwarming. The students visited a sustainable building, making of vermi-compost,micro propagation technology for tissue culture, waste water management by rootzone and earth- air tunnel for natural air conditioner. Nonetheless, they were apprised of alternate methods to conserve energy by usingnatural method of connecting cool air from the inner recesses of the earth through anair tunnel to keep a natural temperature of 25-26 degrees in the rooms substitutingthe air conditioners. The Retreat is nothing less than a Green Revolution spread across a sprawling areaof 100 acres as it addresses the pertinent issues related to man made disasters in theform of climate, soil & air deterioration by following the new innovativemethodologies and solutions like solar panels, rain water harvesting, planting treesof better quality developed by tissue culture thus living up the future dream ofsustainability This educational tour not only made the students learn more about the environmentbut also about the efforts they can make themselves to help with the environmentalproblems. Indeed this educational excursion taught them some ways to save naturefrom further harm as it equipped them with new age solutions to redeem theenvironmental solutions.
