Dear Program

GGHS initiated its inaugural DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) Program on May 14th, 2024

The DEAR Program encouraged students and staff to pause their regular activities and immerse themselves into reading. Throughout the  designated time, classrooms, libraries, and common areas buzzed with the quiet excitement of readers engrossed in books, magazines, and digital content. The entire school enthusiastically participated in promoting literacy and a love for reading. They enjoyed a wide range of reading materials, from fiction and non-fiction books to articles and poetry, reflecting diverse interests and learning preferences. The Dear session program emphasized the importance of regular reading habits to nurture critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning skills among students.
