Mobile Policy

Mobile phones are the most commonly used gadgets in the lives of students, teachers and professionals. Over dependence on technological interventions which can have both positive and negative repercussion GGHS has made Mobile policy which is aligned with CBSE Circular No. 02, dated July 29, 2009.

Purpose:
To maintain discipline and focus by regulating mobile phone usage within the school premises.

 Awareness Campaign

  • The Mobile Phone Policy is available on the school’s website.
  • School prefects announce the policy in each class with teacher supervision, and a register is maintained.

 Prohibited Items

  • Students are not allowed to bring or use mobile phones in school premises.
  • Any mobile phone found will be immediately confiscated.

Random Checks

  • Prefects conduct random checks in classrooms, inspecting students’ bags and uniforms.
  • Checks are done under the teacher’s supervision.
  • Confiscated phones are handed over to the class teacher, who logs the details before submitting them to the authorities

Rules regarding Mobile Phones and Smart Watches

  • Students will not be allowed to bring mobile phones or smart watches to the school.
  • In case students are travelling home on their own, they can deposit mobile phones at their own risk at the reception in a pouch labelled with the name and Class/Section.
  • Students should not wear Smart Watch to school.
  • School will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the mobile phone and Smart Watch.
  • Parent’s written consent in the form of an email/almanac note is mandatory for carrying electronic gadgets if required.

 Confiscation and Return

  • Confiscated phones are stored securely by school authorities.
  • Phones are returned to parents during the Final Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) at the end of the academic session.

Note: This policy aims to ensure a focused and disciplined learning environment for all students.
