To safeguard the interests and well-being of our students, Gurugram Global Heights School has established the POCSO Committee in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. The committee is dedicated to protecting students from abuse and ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive environment throughout their formative years.
The committee undertakes age-appropriate initiatives to raise awareness about sexual exploitation and educate students on their rights and responsibilities. Training sessions are conducted regularly for faculty and staff to help them identify, prevent, and respond to signs of abuse and neglect.
To make reporting safe and accessible, Complaint Boxes have been strategically placed around the school and are regularly monitored by committee members to address any concerns.
To further strengthen our child protection framework, the school has also incorporated the Children Against Child Abuse (Project CACA) program. This initiative reinforces our commitment to preventive education and legal awareness regarding child safety.
The committee actively promotes awareness through:
- Regular awareness campaigns and school assemblies
- Encouraging student participation in discussions and activities
- Screening of age-appropriate videos
- Conducting self-defence sessions as part of the awareness programs
Through these initiatives, Gurugram Global Heights School strives to ensure that every learner is treated with dignity, respect, and care at all times.
