“A plastic pollution-free world is not a choice but a commitment to life- a commitment to the next
As we come to the end of International Plastic-Free Bag Day, we celebrated the power of saying “no” to single-use plastic bags, recognizing the harm they cause to our environment and the importance of reducing our plastic footprint. But our commitment to a plastic-free lifestyle doesn’t end with this day. Every small action counts and together, we can create long-lasting impact. To keep the same thought alive, the Emery House students of GGHS came together to raise awareness about the importance of tackling plastic pollution and taking action for a cleaner, greener future in a special assembly with the message ‘Let’s Dive in Right’. Emery House students started the assembly with a speech on International Plastic Free Bag Day followed by a poem, a Street play depicting the harmful effects of single-use plastic, Pledge to follow the 8 R’s: Refuse, Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, Repair, Re-gift, Recover and Rethink. It was concluded with the Honorable Vice Principal Ma’am final address on Sustainability.
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the impact we’ve made and the steps we can continue to take in our journey toward a greener, more sustainable future.
